YONKERS – Former prosecutor and corporate finance attorney
Daniel Schorr has been confirmed as Yonkers’ city inspector
general. He replaces outgoing Inspector General Philip Zisman
when he takes over on February 16.
Mayor Philip Amicone, who nominated Schorr last month, said
he is “the right man for the job.”
Schorr was a prosecutor in both the Westchester County and
Queens County district attorney’s offices and was a vice
president in the law division of Morgan Stanley for three years.
The Yonkers inspector general is an independent,
investigative office that works to ensure that city government
and all city agencies operate within the law and function with
effectiveness.
