Racino, hotel shake on deal in Yonkers

The Doubletree Hotel Tarrytown has partnered with Empire City at Yonkers Raceway by way of meal and gaming vouchers.

 This month, visitors who book the Empire City Package beginning at $139 per night will receive a $40 per-couple food and beverage credt and $10 for slot machine usuage at Empire City.

 “We wanted to start the New York off with something that’s totally different and is sure to create a lot of excitement with out guest,” said Rich Friedman, general manager of the Doubletree Tarrytown.

A complimentary shuttle to and from the entertainment complex will be provided.

 Ryan Murphy, director of marketing for Empire City at Yoners Raceway said the site is in the process of partnering with other hotels in addition to the Doubletree, possibilities include deals with Hampton Inn and Suites in Yonkers and Residence Inn Yonkers.

“We relaunched the Empire Club Program last April and in 1020 we’d definitely like to drive more regional and national business to the area,” Murphy said.
